Honolulu -- This year's event is being held in the newly renovated Pacific Ballroom at the Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki Hotel. According to Fantasies in Chocolate chairperson Tracy Watkins,
"This fun-filled, entertaining event is a chance for chocolate lovers to sample the best and most luscious of treats from some of Honolulu's finest restaurants and confectioners." To date, 23
chocolatiers have committed to being a part of this year's event. They include Big City Diner, Big Island Candies, Brew Moon Restaurant, Bubbie's, Ghiradelli, Godiva, Roy's Restaurant, Sam Choy's
Diamond Head Restaurant, Sunset Grill, etc.
A "Sweet-stakes" is also on the day's agenda, with themed packages comprised of donated prizes and gift certificates, including a Las Vegas
trip courtesy of Vacations-Hawaii. Sweet-stakes tickets will be available for a suggested donation of $5 per ticket.
Monies raised by Fantasies in Chocolate go to support the Hawaiian Humane
Society's many programs and services, including adoptions, animal rescues and humane education. |
